Our semi-custom process
Step 1: Browse + shop online
Take a moment to explore our curated collections and fall in love with your perfect design.
Choose from one of our packages or mix and match single items that suit your style.
Add your favourites to the cart, checkout, and complete payment—it’s that simple.
Need a hand? We’re always here via email or phone if the options feel a bit overwhelming. We’ll happily provide a quote and invoice if that works better for you. Just note, full payment is required before we start crafting your design.
Step 2: Content + wording
Once your order is placed and payment received, simply email us your personalised wording. We do our best to make it perfect - if the text feels too long, we might suggest a shorter version or a double-sided print for that extra space.
If you’ve opted for guest personalisation, we have our templates for you to input with details.
Step 3: Review + approve your proof
Within five working days (although usually earlier) of receiving your wording, we’ll send you the first draft of your artwork. You have up to three rounds of revisions included (we usually get it bang on within the first rounds).
If you decide to change designs, we’ll need to charge a re-design fee.
Once you’ve given your final approval, no more changes can be made without additional costs, as we begin the printing process immediately.
Step 4: Print + production
It’s go time! Printing typically takes around two weeks, depending on the type of print (although sometimes three weeks during peak season). Add an extra week for delivery.
This is just a guide - please be sure to give yourself enough time before your event for the printing and delivery process. If you think you are cutting it fine - let us know so we can see what we can do to make it happen.
Step 5: Delivery
Once your order is complete, we’ll carefully check and package everything with Number Nine love. You will get notification via email once we assign a tracking number, or if it is ready for you to collect from one of our studios (dependent on selected option as checkout).

Our custom design process
Step 1: Complete the Custom Design Form
Begin by filling out our online custom design form here with as much detail as possible. Let us know your vision, and feel free to upload or link to any inspiration images you love.
Please note that due to copyright, we will not copy another design studios work/design.
Step 2: Let’s Connect
Once we’ve reviewed your form, we’ll reach out to schedule a 15-minute call (video or phone) to go over any final details. This chat helps us ensure we’re fully aligned with your expectations.
Step 3: Package Quote & Timeline
With a clear understanding of your needs, we’ll send a tailored package quote and a detailed timeline for deliverables, along with an invoice.
Please note that full payment is required before we begin crafting your design concepts.
Step 4: Concepts & Revisions
Based on the timeline, we’ll send over three initial concepts for your artwork. You’ll have up to three rounds of revisions to make adjustments. Once you give final approval, we’ll proceed to print; further changes after this point may incur additional fees as we begin the printing process immediately.
Step 5: Print & Production
Now the magic happens! Printing typically takes about two weeks, though it can extend to three during peak seasons. Please add an extra week for delivery. If you're working with a tight timeline, let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Step 6: Delivery
Once your order is complete, we’ll carefully check and package everything with love. You’ll receive an email notification with a tracking number or a pickup option from our studio, depending on your preference.

Printing Methods
We offer a range of print methods including digital ink, white ink, letterpress, embossing, and metallic foil that allow us to elevate your event stationery, making each piece as unique and epic as your celebration.
Digital print (aka standard printing)
Digital print is a fast, cost-effective printing method that offers unlimited colour options using CMYK. It’s ideal for personalised designs, allowing multiple colours and variable data, like guest names, on each piece.
White ink
White ink printing is required if you plan to use darker coloured card stocks or envelopes. It's slightly more expensive than digital printing.
Letterpress
Letterpress printing brings a 3D touch. When printed on a soft card stock you can feel and see the indentation of the print. We recommend using a 600gsm heavy weight card for this process.
Blind letterpress creates a debossed impression in the card and is just letterpress without the use of any ink.
Embossing
Embossing offers a raised effect without ink. This technique presses the design into the paper from behind, creating a 3D texture that adds dimension.
Debossing
A debossed design is sunken into the surface of the stock and may protrude slightly on the reverse.
Metallic foil
We offer a range of foil colours including gold, silver, copper, bronze, rose gold, and white, for a result unlike any other print process.
